Acknowledging Entrepreneurs for International Day of the Girl

Girls Entrepreneur Society is committed to highlighting young ladies of color who are entrepreneurs, leaders, and influencers. It's amazing to see girls being confident and doing what they love.

I have a great appreciation for girls who aren't ashamed to sprinkle their magic. So many are struggling with finding their place in the world. We need more young ladies who don't mind being leaders in our communities and in our culture.

International Day of the Girl promotes the empowerment of girls around the world. How appropriate it is for us to be able to promote amazing girls in business on this day.

Olivia Ohlson-Ellis

This summer I had the awesome privilege of meeting some amazing young bosses at Young Biz Kids Day curated by Arriel Bivens-Biggs. The Chicago event was hosted by young mogul Jahkil Jackson.

One of the phenomenal young ladies was 15 year old Olivia Ohlson-Ellis. I was so impressed by her accomplishments. After speaking with her for just a few minutes, I knew she was someone we all need to know and meet. Olivia is the entrepreneur of OSOE Projects. OSOE Projects is an umbrella for her four passion projects: Diversify Golf, Hygiene Kits for Evanston's Underserved, Olivia's Pink Lemonade, Pink Ribbon Cookie, and Olivia's Images.

I am excited about many things but especially about making a difference. I sell my photography, consult on grassroots projects, lead golf clinics for girls and kids of color and am available as a motivational speaker for kids and teens for schools, churches and community events.

Olivia is a straight A high school student and a three-sport athlete. She writes for her school newspaper and is also a school ambassador. Olivia has raised over $60K in cash and donations for her projects. She's also provided over 2,500 hygiene kits for people in need.

Among many other awards, Olivia is the 2022 ESPN-Chicago ESPY Award Winner! Her efforts have been recognized on Good Morning America on-line, ABC-7 News, NBC-5 News, Chicago Tribune, Parent Magazine and many more.

As you can see, it's evident why I was so impressed with Olivia and all she has accomplished! Most importantly she's extremely humble and kind. I truly enjoyed talking to her it was an absolute pleasure meeting her.

Please be sure you follow her, connect with her, and support her!

Make sure you follow her pages on Instagram also!

KSquared Lemonade

I had the awesome pleasure of meeting this dynamic duo at Young Biz Kids Day also. Listen when I tell you, they were a whole vibe! They came with all of the energy with an amazing brand!

16 year old Kailah and 12 year old Kylah are the entrepreneurs of KSquared Lemonade.

Kailah is a high school student. Not only is she smart but she also loves to sing and dance. Her sister and business partner Kylah is an honor's middle school student who loves being helpful.

We have loved establishing our own business with the help of our mother Dana. We look forward to seeing our product in the stores one day.

KSquared Lemonade offers fresh squeezed lemonade with a variety of fresh fruit (regular, strawberry, mixed berry, and pineapple mango).

Of course, I had to buy some. I tried the strawberry flavor. This lemonade was sooo good! It was refreshing with a great taste!

I love everything about their brand. They have a phenomenal product with outgoing personalities, and exceptional customer service.

I'm certain that their dream of seeing their lemonade in stores will be fulfilled. These young ladies are awesome!

Be sure to follow, support, and connect with them!

Follow them on Instagram and Facebook!
